SIGNAGE QUESTIONS

Below are a few misconceptions about signage we thought we'd help set straight:

Myth 1: My signage should tell my customers everything they may need to know about my business...

Many of our customers set out to ensure their prospects can't possibly miss a thing that they do. They want to include every detail about the services they provide, their product range, where to find them etc...

The truth is you have a very short moment to capture the attention of your prospects.

We encourage our customers to subscribe to the 'less is more' principle. Make it short, concise, visually appealing and ensure there is a website address ideally or at very least Facebook page or contact details visibly noted to make it easy to find out more.

If you've grabbed their attention and they are looking for what you offer, they'll find you.

Myth 2: All signs are created equal...

We are only human and most of us like to shop around on price. To assist you in making the right signage choice for your business, consider the following:

  • Vinyl - What grade of vinyl is being quoted and used? Vinyls possess different UV resistance & durability. The difference between vinyls can be substantial and will impact significantly upon the life of your signage. Poor quality vinyl will result in chalking, fading and / or cracking. Don't risk your hard earned dollars by assuming all signage is created equal.
  • Warranty - Is your signage supplier prepared to warrant your signage and are they clear on what the parameters of the warranty period and conditions are? If not, ensure these are clearly spelt out well in advance of proceeding. At Pivot Creative, we can warrant our signage. To find out more on the Pivot Creative difference, click here.
  • Ink - Are the inks you are comparing of the same quality and standard and will they withstand fading better or worse than others? If you are uncertain, perhaps request the ink type and check with the manufacturers.

Once you have investigated each of the above, you are ready to make your selection.

Myth 3:  Car signage will damage my vehicle's paintwork...

A common misconception based on fear rather than fact. Vehicle signage applied by experienced installers can actually protect your vehicle's surfaces rather than cause damage. A skilled installer works around the surfaces and obstructions carefully applying vinyl to ensure no damage is caused.

Should you choose to update or remove your vehicle signage, our  team at Pivot Creative can ensure your graphics are removed or applied without damage. Contact us to discuss how we can best assist.
